This thread is for telling ppl how much they mean to the community and i dont find it a waste of bandwidth at all. some ppl like to hear it especially after the other WAY more wastefull threads or posts for that matter IMO like the ones above or how ppl got in a huge argument over monitors in the bioshock WS issue. Or how ppl make threads about how they just got layed or they need dating advice now thats not so much a waste of bandwidth because its good to get to kno ppl in a community your planning on spending time in however those are more of a waste than this thread imo.
    wataMG42, rick22 and 3991vhtes say thanks.

@ seth..of course I thanked him because it is the first post in here with a real point behind it!!!!

@ Solaris...even I who is a lowly peon on this forum realized that this is nothing more than an insult to the "thanks" system, which I thought was a good thing untill this thread!!!!!

EDIT ...why should we even have a "thanks" system? Even the mods are abusing it in here, so explain to me the point of the system if it is just to be abused?
    rick22, driver66 and AthlonX2 say thanks.

so now its a blatant attack on me personally...I just feel an abuse to a good system is still abuse... now its gone to attacking me personally?
    rick22 says thanks.

yes I am ...I feel you as a mod should have stopped this thread in the very beginning as an abuse to the "thanks" system. It was put in place for a reason, not to be whored upon!

and I fell your sarcastic remarks are way out of line also( where the word abuse is comming from). I dont really care much if I have helped someone or not ,or hell even got thanked for that matter. But the question has still not been answered as to why have it in place(thanks) if the mods allow it to be whored!!!!!
    rick22 says thanks.

well to put it quite simply im sorry your here seeing as you dont care if you help anyone on a tech support forum. as for this thread I do not see a problem with it. seeing as you thank the person and then state a valid reason why...AND seeing as i am not the only moderator and the other mods do not seem to have a problem with this thread that might be the reason why it has not been shut down. as for my response for you it was NOT ment to be derogatory and im sorry you took offense i just do not see were i was out of line. im sorry you do not care if you help anybody fact of the matter is you have helped me hence the response. but thank you for your concern i assure you ill keep it in mind. especially if you decide to make posts in this thread about how much this thread sucks.

    Shush, all of you.

This thread was started to make people happy. An "abuse of the thank you system" would have been stopped a LONG time ago. It's making people happy, there's nothing wrong with that...
    3991vhtes, rick22, JC316 and 1 other person say thanks.

Ok mods due to your bad desicion making I find it useless to argue with you guys, because you will always be right and Im not about to go against an abuse of what was a good system or the abuse by mods, so as it stands , the mods should learn to read first then decipher the info and react accordingly. If you all read a little closer I am not the only member in here who thinks its an abuse, rather the only one to make it a real point. So do as you all want I still see ia as shit and will continue to.

I dont see how whoring the thanks button makes anyone happier. If they want praise thats fine, but in the real aspect of things if you arent thanked at the time you helped someone "tough titties" live with it, dont whore for praise!!!!!
