I'm also not surprised dan chipped in with his ever pointless responses, his head is so far up his own arse he thinks his shit doesn't stink. Whats the point in having this subforum if requests are ignored? The majority has spoken, that should settle it. Most of us are expressive, the point in smilies is to express certain points that would otherwise probably get misunderstood.

I'm ambivalent to more smilies. If someone can find some nice ones I don't see a problem with adding them if W1zzard likes them, but I do not think it's absolutely necessary. The ones ketxx chose, to borrow his as always eloquent phraseology, are retarded.

This thread is in comments and feedback so W1zzard will read it whether a staff member calls his attention to it or not. If he sees smilies he likes and has the time to do it, then he'll add them. He is the one that does that type of thing not the moderators.

I believe some of them are the default vbulletin smilies and some are from another source. I could be wrong though, it's been a while since some were added. I don't think anyone here designed them.

Well, I for one think that smileys provide another form of communication that represents the loss of us being able to talk face-to-face. Many times I have seen a couple of well placed smileys put the statement you just made into the correct context. The person reading it may not understand your sarcasm, but a smiley can avoid a flame war....

Smileys are a replacement for being face-to-face, or really knowing the person you are posting too. It helps them understand who you are....

Similes also transcend language. I can say :toast:
