Cool theme - Well worth $9 USD!

... I noticed two things about your system. 1: Your running a RAID array. 2: You have some kind of temperature monitoring software running, does this monitor your drives in RAID, if so what program is this?[\s]

Opps I just remembered I can't monitor my drives as I believe my controller doesn't allow/support it. ( I can't remember the damn "strikeout" command thingy either

Windows detects my drives running in raid as one HDD so any widget or gadget can be used to monitor them (for me Q's drive info) and as for the temp monitor I am using the "All CPU meter" gadget.

I like the Q's Drive Info :) The All CPU Meter just isn't one for me. I think I'll end up buying a fan controller with temperature probes, just so I can monitor the temps of my HDD's.

It's not needed at all I know, but It's a must for me when it comes to knowing the temps of my rig pretty much all the time it's turned on :D

The key to the desktop apps is to never maximize your browser and truly adapt to using a widescreen. Too little vertical space, too much horizontal. Often completely unused by the browser anyways. Throw the taskbar to one side and everything else to the other. Honestly there’s no good reason not to with the tab system in 7. You just have to force yourself to get used to it.

I can fit more information in my browser window with it maximized. Everywhere I go uses the additional horizontal space as well as the vertical. Most sites do these days.

Considering as humans, we can only read one thing at a time, to me, that space saved for gadgets is just wasted space that can be better used to put more information into the window of the program I am actually using.

I love Kpop...4 Minute is good. I like 소녀시대, 린, 화요비 and I think Jewelry is the hottest bunch of girls.

Here is my desktop for the next 15 minutes until it switches.

I've not encountered that at all. Most sites still use the center aligned style which benefit much more from the increased vertical of moving the taskbar and couldn't care less about having extra blank space on the sides. Just about the only exception I see these days are forums. Considering that most posts are small and look bizarre when stretched out on one line that goes across your entire screen I hardly feel like I'm missing anything. I've also noted moving the taskbar helps with image work as well. And I don't get the only read one thing at a time bit. Everything is about convenience, less clicks is better. So I have to move my eyes. Big whoop. At least I didn't have to minimize crap AND move my eyes.

    Edit*
This is getting confusing having the same posts here and on GN... actually I thought this was GN haha

By using more horizontal space, you actually benefit in vertical space as well. You fit more on the screen. And like I said, almost all the sites I go to use the additional horizontal space. Especially forums.

And there are no gadgets that give me enough useful info to be worth reducing the amount of info in my active program.

on my desk i have my Macbook pro(2.66 C2D, 9600GT unibody)[second screenshot], thinkpad, Linux Mint server, my Sandy-bridge, and my ipad!

I need more monitors, and a longer desk :banghead:

Using Synergy to streamline them all with my single keyboard/mouse. Laptop is in clamshell mode. If i had more room on my desk I'd be rollin 4 monitors.

Being able to VNC/SSH/control my virtual machines via iPad anywhere in my house is AWESOME. :p
