it was better then running vista back in 2008 when I bought this system.... I stuck with it.

I prefer the server versions as well. will get R2 when I get an SLC SSD.

so is sticking your face in a cow patty and motorboating it... :wtf:

I've got too much of my time tied up in gaming to go to a server OS anymore. Maybe back when I was using Freehand/Illustrator/Photshop, but these days, there's just no benefit for me, and too much overhead in a server.... Mind if I ask what you do on the PC that makes a server OS operable/functional?

She's a woman. A server OS helps her serve sammiches.

LMAO.... I use windows system resource manger and it's only for server versions and it helps my performance, and also I do mess with server stuff and experiment... Plus it's not as bloated as vista was LOL... R2 is the same way.

I have mine beautifully converted to a workstation and it's been very stable. Hell I can play some games on it that work better then some people on windows 7 even. the stability has been great.

yeha some apps might not work... but I just find alternatives.... but pretty much anything works that should.

I need to convert my server over to R2. I've just been too lazy to do it. I'm gonna use it as my router as well as my file/media/mumble server.
