Not to be a stickler, but it's .3kb over the filesize limit... but what's a couple hundred bytes amongst friends!:toast:

W1zzard specifically wants off site images to conform to the size limits too. HWBot is fine if it links to an HWBot server.

Question, my off site sig conforms to dimensions, but not to KB size. Does it matter about KB size if it is off site?

Yes. Unless you're linking to an HWBot server, the best thing to do is use the provided upload bar when uploading a signature image. Since we provide a place to store your image, there really isn't any reason to link to a third party for your image. Storing the image on our server reduces access times too.

Yes because when the page loads it still has to grab the larger picture from the server no matter where the server is located. If everyone has a larger picture it reduces page load time for people with slower connections which is frustrating for them. If a great many people have large enough pictures it could even slowdown page load times for people with fast connections. If we make exceptions for you we have to let everyone have a larger picture. Obviously we cannot and will not go through every single signature picture and check to make sure it is the right size. All we can ask is that you don't be rude and please obey these reasonable limits.

lol thats KTR's little goat noise for Team Fortress 2 its harmless really, just don't click on the sig and you will be fine, (you can even right-click it and everything will be ok):laugh:

Also sorry to the X-Fi Clubhouse I was simply thinking of the first clubhouse sig pics that I saw after this happened that looked about the same size or bigger than our own second HD DVD clubhouse SIG.

Thermopylae is there any way at all that you can at least somehow recall the picture so that we can try and edit it? And so that I can at least have it saved on MY harddrive?

If you are wanting to resize you image I'll be happy to, just PM with the image. After all, I did create the TF2 sig you are speaking of.

I personally recommend we raise the cap to 30KB. But that's just me.

I agree on raising the cap. I can get most of the sigs around at minimum @ 32kb.

edit...i just compress mine from 96kb to 29kb.

    oh :ohwell:

Being that the TF2 sig has a lot of orange, you can reduce the amount of color without ruining the picture to much...but i do see the graininess on the heavy's face. It seems impossible to have all 256 colors and have it @ 19.5kb. The best i can achieve is 32kb.
