Sky Two to King 95 Redo

This will only be a build insomuch as I have to explode a perfectly good working pc and transfer it's guts into another case. The Sky Two is a wonderful looking case and the only fault I can find is the lack of room on the backside to do proper cable management. I have tried several different routes for the 24-pin cable and it either bows the back panel or looks like *ss snaking it's way to it's destination. A new case it is and I will basically swap the parts from one to the other...with minor changes.

It really isn't a upgrade to what I currently use, but I agree it should look killer in that Black case. Just wanting something to put a smile on my face every time I sit at this desk.

While I'm waiting for parts to roll in I flashed the mb bios to the latest version this morning.



I have a spare retention bracket on hand, so I may as well use it. Not really of any benefit for AMD sockets, but it does a good job of keeping excess thermal paste from collecting on the sides.



Blew apart the 3700X rig and reclaimed the EVGA 850 G+ psu which will go in the King 95 case.



Guess this is going to turn out to be two simultaneous builds lol. A Fuma 3 cpu cooler just showed up which will be going towards the 3700X in the Sky Two case. I had been using a AMD Prism cooler prior, but I had to handicap the cpu a bit to keeps temps in check.

I have a Tiny 11 iso ready to go. Has anyone had any experience with it? Thinking of giving it a shot on one of these pc's.

Edit: With closer inspection I'm going to have to stick with Ghost Spectre. Been using these for almost three years now without a hitch...no sense experimenting.

The XP test proved to be a little too glitchy for my taste, so I likely will not use that. I did manage to get the 3700X migrated over to the Sky Two case. All is well, but I have yet to tackle the cable management in the rear of the case.



The King 95 case arrived and I have been working on variations. I intended to do a vertical gpu mount, but there just isn't enough room with a large cpu air cooler. Awaiting cpu fans to arrive today and will install the psu as well.

Slow going here...gf attended a family wedding and brought the flu home with her. Still waiting on those two cpu fans to arrive so I can button this up.

Question - I'm not satisfied with the lighting effects and was wondering if there is any way to bypass Montech's controller and use the motherboard instead. This ASRock mb has several rgb headers and I have already installed their polychrome app. I have zero experience in this rgb stuff.

Got it buttoned up. I really need a better desk to fit this set-up. Does anyone else have a problem getting their phone to be recognized in Win 11?

Finally figured out how to link the motherboard rgb to the Montech controller. I'll get some better pictures when the new desk arrives...there won't be any obstructions.

Most of the clutter is gone and I have more landscape with this new desk. Still need to do some cable management behind the desk and pc.

Swapped the hideous orange sleeved cables for white...better, but still not satisfied.

Swapped the hideous white sleeved cables for the factory black psu cables. Looks cleaner and I don't notice the cables so much now.

I could have the zero cable look I crave and it would perfectly match my other JONSBO desktop build.
