SLI or Crossfire output

How to find out how much graphics power two cards will output?
Is there a general way of measuring this?
For example two 7870 will output 180% in practice, is that the same with 2x7770?
Does it vary greatly from one card to another? From SLI to Crossfire?

How do I know if two cards SLI or Crossfire together?
What about three or four cards?

I can tell you that with one 7950 in BF3 I was getting 45-55 fps and with two it was a solid 100+
As far as what card will SLI, Crossfire or Dual graphics together. The rules are diff for Nvidia and AMD. Just google it.

The Radeon 7xxx series generally has a 100% scale rate with crossfire...that is IF you mobo has 2xPCIe 3.0 slots running at 8x/8x or 16x/16x. Not sure about two 2.0 slots. I imagine its the same. If your board only has a 16x/4x slot configuration (like mine) performance will NOT be ideal.

its different for different cards, different drivers, even different games. google for the reviews. tpu has a lot of common config reviews in crossfire.
