and this is any worse then what Google does on android? From what i can see Apple is giving you a heavy handed choice, google just ignores your input and does it anyway.

Really? I can turn mine off and still use the market. Apple is terrible next time their on the verge of bankruptcy, MS should give them monopoly money instead.

In all fairness, they only say they are going to use anonymous location information, mostly to serve ads. What's wrong with that?

Btw, has anyone used this "Find My iPhone" app that they mentioned there? Might come in handy.

Ehh, the idea of a large corp knowing you exact location at any time is disturbing. Lets say you downloaded a mythbusters episode, it is broadcast free, but you downloaded it. According to new US laws Apple needs to turn that information over, along with your ISP files, so now you have been nailed to a wall. Courtesy of Apple.

Apple is the 9" cock fucking your ass, while you smile and love it. The only come here is Apple, in your ass.

I bet I get a infraction for this. But I'm drunk, so who gives a fuck.

I agree.

When it comes to most "popular" Apple products (excluding professional computers at work etc.) I think of sheeple. It's an awful subculture of people who need to stand in line so they will be the first out of their friends to get whatever Apple is selling. These masses of sheeple will buy it no matter what. They don't mind being tracked and viewed at as a giant herd that consumes these goods and crap out money. The sheeple mentality goes well beyond buying Apple products in this country judging by our elected officials. People don't want to think or work, they want to be told what to do, they want laws to protect them and they have inflated senses of self entitlement. Fucking sad.

Even as far as work computers, I use the Adobe Suite like crazy on PC and Mac's, not difference, not sure why the industry feels you need a Mac for Adobes Programs.

Still isn't really a bad thing. It's like targeted ads on the internet and TV. If I am a car enthusiast I'd probably watch top gear so car makers etc will put ads up inbetween top gear. Same as on the internet. If I'm on a tech site it will show me ads for hardware etc.

the different is, tech site is FREE while the iPhone cost me $600 in here.

why should i see Ads with my hard earned iPhone ? its annoying

This thread is why I jailbroke my iPhone. It is a huge "fuck you" to Apple. I get all free apps, paid or not, and can do custom themes, etc. I have not seen ad's yet, but there is already an app to hide them I bet. Thank god for the jailbreaking community.

I pay for cable and I still need to see ads. Infact the only one I don't see ads on is the BBC which while paid for by the people doesn't display adverts. Ads pay for the server costs and bandwidth required to host and serve all those free applications.

Finding more reasons to hate on apple right? LOL

ISP knows every site you visits.
Cable Providers knows every channel you watch.
Phone companies knows every phone call you make.
Apple knows where you are

How many people have Iphones, Ipads, Ipods, macs? Millions? You think they have all the time in the world to watch and track you? lol
Who cares.

Technically speaking though no "cable" is unique for each person like a single Apple product in terms of stored and sent data. They don't show ads appropriate only to you when you watch TV. TV ads are usually a mixture. I can suddenly see a Kotex ad while watching

Your ads doesn't change depending on your "preferences".

No but they are a little more specific than say billboard or radio. I mean I don't see barbie dolls for sale watching comedy central at 11pm. More specific ads while annoying might be slightly less annoying than unspecific ads. You might even see something you want.

The ads are based on what is being shown, not on you, which is the one that applies in Apple's case.

Finding more reasons to hate on apple right? LOL

ISP knows every site you visits. But they don't actually check them and/or tell anybody else, unless there's a court order
Cable Providers knows every channel you watch. But they don't actually check them and/or tell anybody else, unless there's a court order
Phone companies knows every phone call you make. But they don't actually check them and/or tell anybody else, unless there's a court order
Apple knows where you are But they don't actually check them and/or tell anybody else, unless there's a court order. Oh, wait.

How many people have Iphones, Ipads, Ipods, macs? Millions? You think they have all the time in the world to watch and track you? lol
Who cares.

In the second case of quoted above, they don't really check them INDIVIDUALLY, but they check at the RAW NUMBERS watching specific channels. They don't look at what Bob from NY is watching every Tuesday, but what every subscriber in NY is watching every Tuesday, without specifying if it was Bob or George or Joe watching it.

About your last point, you're under the assumption that a human is doing the watching and tracking.

This just in! In Amerika NSA tracks your phone calls!!!!

Court orders? Keep living in your fantasy. 93.17856% of the world's corporations have no backbones and will cooperate with authorities without the need of a warrant.
