Been a long time since the initial release of this if I remember right, yet I still don't see it in stock anywhere? $25 means production of it is to slow to keep up with capitalism I assume...

Am I wrong? Where is it? NO I am not paying $43 for it on Ebay, which is what it's going for on there, the idea of the R. Pi was it's amazing price point.

first you have to recognize that only the model a board was supposed to be $25, the model b starts at $35. then there are add ons, daughterboards, etc to increase functionality. a $35 board plus shipping easily comes to $43, so that price is good.

I would recommend a model b board over a model a, if you're really so stubborn that you are only willing to spend $25, then you can't get one. shipping will make it cost more. seriously though, get a better idea of what you want and be a little more reasonable regarding the prices and you'll be fine.

short as short google search for "rasberry pi" returns:
    http://www.newark.com/jsp/bespoke/b...ry-pi/rasp-pi-accessories.jsp&isRedirect=true

they have a number of bundles, as well as just the model a board for $25. honestly you should get one of the bundles, and you should get a model b board not a.

seriously it took 2 minutes, his attitude combined with that kinda ticked me off if i'm being honest.

I purchased mine from Newark, and received it about 3 weeks later. I'm thinking about grabbing another one soon. I have the 512m model b version. I'd suggest to everyone wanting one to get model b over model a. :toast:

If googling is a problem, then why purchase a Rasp. Pi? It is not like your phone or pc, it is a barebones kind of thing.

A: That shouldn't be a problem if you have anti-virus.

B: That is no excuse. Millions of people use a search engine and don't get a virus. Don't look up stupid stuff like porn and illegal stuff and you'll be fine.

C: This is what you want, it shows you exactly how to use Google. :D

I purchased mine from Newark after it was released and I had to wait almost 4 months for mine until I started to really get on their case about it. Fortunately now that the hype has calmed down it's a bit easier to get one. I would like the 512m one too but I need to figure out what I want to do with this one first. :p

It's a great too to show people who don't use Google how to use it. :)

I wouldn't be Aquinus if I wasn't at least a little bit of an ass.

Right, if he is having trouble with Google, I wouldn't recommend throwing him into a Pi.
