Well, I have my first lil SE thats going to go down in BestBuy tomorrow, for you who don't know what social engineering is, i dont feel like explaining it. Well I got to convince the BestBuy people to give me a no-reciept return and I bought this October 22nd, with credit, have to convince them that i bought it <1month with cash or else if i said credit theyt can check there files, i hope they dont file cash lol, well This is going to be a challenge since I don't have the back of the heatsink mount, I think I can pull this off. In Mitnik we trust :p

its a sociology term.. it means manipulating or changing the way people (societies) think or behave.. i cant quite see what its got to do with trying to con a replacement card out of the local bestbuy.. he he he

is it now being used as a euphemism for some kind of confidence trick or cheating of some kind.. ????

    just curious..

why don't you process the rma with ati? i've rma'd two built by ati x700 pros both of which i killed by too much ocing (and volt modding lol) simply start an rma with them. should go pretty quick and you should have another x700 pro in no time.

Go to the next town over and try another bestbuy? Does it even have to be a bestbuy? Find another large chain that sells X700s and try the same thing with them.

You may get lucky. Sounds like you almost made it last time. :)

You should have said to the manager: "Honestly... you sold me this card. You said you had an old x700 pro lying around in the back room i could have" :p

Or, you could have said "If you don't stock them, how the hell are you gonna replace it?!" (With a very angry expression :D

    Nice try tho :D
