Last post was in May.

I hope my gets read.

Hi to all, i live in Venezuela. I purchased the Xfx R9 280 3Gb Black Edition. My card runs great any game, include ac unity. My concern its every time after i game, i see some flickering, but it's not all the time, it's sometimes, from time to time. Right now i dont see any, but there is moment when i can see even 4 o 5 times in a minute, in another word it's random. Then again, gaming i dont see any problem.

To me it's impossible to return this, or as you say, do an RMA.

Any advice ?. I searched in a lot of forums, doing a bios update brings more problems than solutions. I tried to configure the Catalyst Control Center and it seems to be in order.

Some say it's the refresh rate, some others the drivers from amd, and some anothers the bios.

Any advice Xfx user ?... i Switch from MSi Vidia to XfX Amd, and i see a huge change in all aspects. I dont wanna regret or lose my card.

Thanks again.. hope you can help me

Hey Marco,

Im sorry you are having issues. Our America's warranty covers Argentina for 2 years. I suspect this card is still in warranty, is it not? shipping might be a little costly, but much cheaper than buying a new one.

Does the MSI Nvidia card work perfectly in the system? no flickering ever? if so, I would be most inclined to test my PSU or GPU.

Do you have a support ticket yet? please PM me.

It's a little problematic to me send my card to another country. In another words. Venezuela is almost a chaos in terms in all ambit. But that's another case hehe.

With the MSi Nvidia, now you ask about that, every once in a while, i mean, ONCE A MONTH, it turn the screen black for 0.1 seconds (yes hehe, 0.1 seconds) and return to normal, like i said that was very rare. In that moment i had a PSU of 600W. I had connected my monitor and tv.

With my new XFX it's random. Right now i was playing (when playing it works great, never a glitch or flikering, nothing), after playing i'm in the browser (mozilla) and so far, nothing, all good. Change my psu, i have now 1000w for this card, 'cause it ask for more power. I think in a while, it will start to see some flickering.

For more detail, i see i little horizontal line flashing, but its all quick. And 1 each of 100 i see quickly black creen (like the msi nvidia).

I must add my rig it's all new. Motherboard, i54690k. PSU, memory ram and now my gpu.

Q. I don't know about a support ticket, sorry for the dumb question, but, what its a support ticket ?

Support tickets can be made at xfxsupport.com. They allow me to issue RMA #'s which facilitate RMA/warranty servicing.

Now that the 1000W is on the card, the flickering is gone?

Thanks for explain about suppor ticket.

Yes, the flickering remains.
I think how it shows.

Every time i play anygame, without problems of course, just after i quit and start to browsing i dont see any flickering. The flickering starts after a while, maybe in the hour, maybe in half a hour. It's not constant. And it shows mostly when i page up and page down and change between tabs or windows.

I don't know if my explain can help in some way.

Thank you for take your time.

The best thing to do would be to RMA/replace it. If now isnt a good time, we can open an RMA and just extend it for the remaining warranty period. That way, you can ship it whenever you are ready? Please let me know
