Some issues..

I got a z97-ar motherboard and I got two issues.
1. I apparently plugged the cpu fan into a chassis slot and now it whines on every startup about a cpu fan error. Any way to bypass this without needing to change the power slot?
2. I got two HDDs of which one is an SSD and the other one a normal 1TB disk, but I can't see the 1TB HDD although I could in my bios.

Answer 1:

Simply change the power slot... no reason you shouldn't. Makes no sense to bypass it...yes you can bypass it by accessing BIOS and making changes which will take more steps to explain than:

1. Power off PC, remove power cable
2. Remove case access panel to access mainboard
3. Move CPU fan power plug to correct port

Answer 2:

The 1TB HDD needs activated in Windows, go to Start > right click on Computer > click Manage
Then when that opens, get into Disk Management, you'll be able to activate and format the 1TB drive, give it a drive letter and be good to go.

Hope that helps!

Benchmark Scores it sucks even more less now ;)
they give you an CPU fan header for a reason it's always monitored incase of a fan failure it will stop your CPU from being damaged from over heating

i had a difficult time getting my 750GB drive to be detected, I pulled out the W7 Disk and started that and went through that means, as i couldnt see the drive in Computer, I even attempted to use DiscWizard and it only gave me an option for GPT or MBR...

Thanks For the TIP

Well you've gotta choose GPT or MBR to activate the disk. You must choose the partition table/boot record style (GPT or MBR) of the drive, then it would be an active drive that you could then format and give a drive letter.

The Disk Management snap-in generally works very well for this task, so no need for DiscWizard for such tasks, but the step you mention would've gotten you the same results in the end.
