just need your expertise on this:

I have an Sony bravia w/ an HDMI port,My question is: can i connect my desktop to the Bravia using HDMI via my CPU Video card without a monitor direct to Bravia??

Yes. You can plug your computer into just about any display device that has an HDMI port and it will act as your only display assuming the computer has an HDMI port as well.

Yes...it should work just fine. My Sony Bravia(KLV-40U100M) is only 1080i, but it allows me to hook it up to my pc at 1080p. You actually could hook up your pc and the media streamer at the same time. Just use the HDMI port for the pc and component cables for the streaming box. I use a roku and a laptop with mine. Although...if you're going to be just streaming the major channels(Like Netflix, HULU+, Crackle) you can just do those through Windows 8.1 and skip the streaming media player.

I Tried connecting my desktop using HDMI cable but it dont work. i already tried it in 4 outport of HDMI in Sony Bravia.
So im back here,Any suggestion?? I just want to use the Sony as my only monitor using HDMI cables..

Yah i check it..
Maybe its my Video Card,GT 430 HDMI output?? My VG is old i got it since 2011.. and the HDMI output has a little bit of rusting..
