Hello. My case is Centurion Cooler Master 590.
I have only SSD plugged Crucial Bx 100 250 GB by 1 screw.Ssd is hanging in the air by one single screw.
And listen.
This is not my video but it shows exactly the same situation noise with my ssd, look:

I know in video there are HDDs Seagate , but this is exactly situation with my ssd. When i am touching pc case that rattle noise coming from ssd dissapearing. In that area in case i have only ssd installed without hdds. Even case fan is unplugged, so only ssd is left.I dont have any HDD.

Any ideas why my ssd ( not have mechanical moving parts like hdd ) making that rattle noise occasionally?

So its possible to ssd to vibrate? But ssd dont have any moving mechanical parts.
. So why i am hearing sometimes that rattle noise from ssd then ? Yes ssd is hanging in the air by one single screw.

They said here:""An SSD has no moving parts, so any noise you're hearing is most definitely not from that.""

Something in your Pc is vibrating and may be causing your SSD to Vibrate in Resonance

as said by that other website there are no moving parts in a SSD ( except Electrons and you will not hear them ).

As said, it has no moving parts, and no coil whine. Gotta be something else, probably a fan. PSU fan, CPU fan, GPU fan.

But gpu fan are off, and psu fan off. Only cpu fan and back case fan are on.

And that noise is coming dirrectly from ssd, i close my ears. So what can it be?

So if you remove the SSD or move it to a different location in your case does the noise still occur?

As said before...ssds have no moving parts. So your case fan or CPU fan is causing a vibration at a frequency that is motivating the SSD to rattle where it is currently located.

I used to do NVH on new GM vehicles and its amazing what can cause something else to buzz, rattle, vibrate.

un bolt SSD
Make a cats Cradle from Elastic Bands ( rubber bands )
suspend SSD in Said Cats Cradle of Bands
it will now be vibration isolated for Testing for noise
is noise still there ?
is something near Pc vibrating and causing SSD to Resonate ( Desk Fan USB hard drive in Caddy on Desk ect )

theres a simple way to prove to you that the SSD isnt making the noise.

unscrew it, and remove it from the case, but leave it plugged in, boot the system, and wait for the mystery sound" to manifest.

regarding solving the matter, regardless of origin, the sound could be stopped if it IS the SSD vibrating for whatever reason, just use some double sided tape, or some regular tape, to stop it from being vibrated. or put another couple screws

Yes but how ssd can be vibrating because he has not moving parts,?

This has been suggested several times already, and it has been suggested you try to move the SSD, remove it, or even suspend it in your case. Will you please try one of these?

If you don't understand vibration and resonance, please refer to @dorsetknob 's post above. :) It has been explained that something else moving/vibrating (even if you don't think they're vibrating they are...), fans, hard disk drives, and anything with a motor will cause some form of vibration at certain frequencies. This can be transfered through your case's chassis and where you mounted your SSD could be reaching a certain frequency that causes it to slightly move and rattle against the case.

We are suggesting you take action and report back..you keep asking questions from step 1...we should be on step 4 by now...that is solution.

Try what has been suggested and report back please. Otherwise all you're doing is leading this thread in an endless circle and the help will stop shortly thereafter.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Think about what? We've said that already a few times. :)

IT IS NOT THE SSD ITSELF. It is from OTHER items causing it to resonate.

Put an empty glass on the bonnet of your car
glass has no moving parts
rev up your car engine
what happens

the glass moves on the bonnet
how can that happen you say the glass has no moving parts

Can you relate that to your SSD and your PC Chassie

Holy crap.... I think this is litwicki24/sew333 guys...

Smells exactly like him and what he does to a dozen forums at one time...shotguns the same question to multiple forums then just repeats things like a broken record...

Edit: he even posts a video up that isn't his... I'd bet good money says it's litwiciki...
