SSd not showing up in bios or windows

    ive tryed different sata cables.. different ports...running out of options.. thinking it may be burnt out but the light shows up on it . so its on.... we already had the ssd running.. it ran for almost a year.. not sure if it got a virus on it or what..im mindblown atm.. pls help .. thanks

    Try a different PC if possible...but, ya sounds like your SSD has given up it's smoke. Sorry and welcome to TPU! Hopefully your hardware luck improves from here!

    Same thing happened to my old Corsair ssd when it bit the dust, may be toast. :(

    What ssd is it?

    Sad to say but my first old sata2 ssd didn't last that long at all. If it's an older one, maybe it's similar to my old one. My newer Sammy 830s are rock solid, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Samsung ssd any day ;)

    Wouldn't surprise me if an OCZ ssd went dead early on. They had some bad reports back then during the 2-3series; I had a vertex 4 hat gave slight issues, though nothing major like dying on me.
