So i have been debating setting up one of these SSD Raid arrays that all the tech sites seem to be trying out. And Finally threw about 300 bucks at 2x64gb G.Skill drives in Raid 0. And thus far, holly shit balls. Currently I am storing all my media on a separate Seagate 500gb Cuda Drive, but running all the applications off this 120gb main array, and this thing...screams. Writing can at times be a bit sluggish, but nothing slower than my old drive. Reading...however is insane.

I been looking for a free app to bench the HDs and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

HD Tune, HDTach, ATTO benchmark, might be able to get all three in the download's section.

Writing is insane also when you hit 4 SSD drives.(Faster than SAS)

We'll my first computer, which was a bottom of the line HP Pavilion, after several formatting attempts to salvage it died, so I had to get a new computer...and so I spent a bit more money on this one...and it's been worth the extra cash. Especially the HD 4870 X2 :p

I just bought an OCZ 30gb ssd for an I7 build I am doing. I got the faster series, vertex I think it is called. Just that alone was $250 in Aussie!!!

Can't wait to test it out.

BTW can you post up some HDD benches. :)
