Found out that you can join the Steam's new Community beta by going to File > Settings > Beta Participation.

For those of you that are interested, you'll now get an updated Friends list, the ability to create your own Profile stating crap you want people to know about 'you' and your gaming habits. Friends list is updated so you can have avatars which is a pretty cool feature.

It gets better as you can create groups where you can all be in the same 'chatroom' using Voice or txt.

Anyroad, enough of the adverts - check it out if you can be arsed. :D

Yeah I knew about it for ages, just they've made it accessible to the public this morning.

    What the actual option?

I remember having it on the 20th of last month . I remember the day because I was capped (net running slower than dial up speed), and didnt leave it ticked because it had to do an update when I restarted Steam.

You're asking me something you already have? Maybe they released it sooner in Australia than the UK - I dunno.

I've stated everything in my first post on how to enable it all. :D

Already made 2 groups for my CS:S Clans. XD

Na, I never tried it, because when I saw it, my net was downloading at 2kb/s :D. The update would have taken ~2 hours :p.

I suggest TPU makes an official page - that would be excellent!

I would make it, but y'know - I'm nothing official, not TPU wise anyroad. ;)

    Good stuff!

The voice codecs will improve as it is still only a ├četa. I'm enjoying it so far, want to join more groups mind.
