Pretty good in my book and I'm still playing it. :D Yes, it has its faults, but nothing like it's been slagged off in the mainstream reviews. Just needs a patch for a few bugs is all. The non-politically correct aspect of the game which it got so criticised for, is its best feature in my book and is just being true to the original versions.

Have a look at the reviews by crazyeyesreaper (gameplay) and myself (tech aspects/glitches) on TPU for a much more balanced view of the game:

    www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147541

There was one decent commercial review for it, but I can't remember who it was now to give you the link. It was discussed on the Duke Nukem Forever thread if you wanna look through it.

Finally, you might also be interested in my thread, The Duke Nukem Classic thread: Hail to the King baby!

I'm waiting for Bulletstorm to show up on offer. It's currently full price at £30.

Dunno, but my sig moggy sure is Cute'N'Cuddly(tm). Something has definitely got its attention too... I'm trying to figure out if it's been Photoshopped onto that 'rail' or if it was really sitting on it.

If you want the original full size picture, then let me know.

Yeah, you'd think they'd have figured that one out by now. :slap:

They should really add a p2p/bittorrent style option to the Steam client. This problem would then disappear for those of us who don't have an ISP that mess with traffic shaping on these protocols, such as myself. It would also free up more bandwidth for the rest that can't use it. No brainer.

    EDIT

Hey this is post 4096 - a power of 2! Those of techie enough will know the significance of this. ;) Roll on 8192.

I bought a few more games duting this summer sale. Also did a few of the summer camp things, and loaded up a wishlist. Banking on winning some free games.

These damn sales are so addictive though. I've been buying at least one game per day. I still haven;t played some games from the previous summer and winter sales LOL.

    I'm up to 334 games!!!!

And yes they need to do something about bandwidth. I kinda wish the Summer Sales period was more transparent and not just killing the download speeds. Oh well..... :(

This price changing during the sale is idiotic. It was the same with TDU2. I went on some forum to ask if it's any good and while i was doing that the price went from 4,5 EUR to 9,99 EUR if i remember correctly. So i didn't buy it at all.

Yeah, I noticed this with CoD4 the other day. Reduced from £20 to £10, then up to £15 a day later. It feels like they're messing with us.

pretty sure they update yearly (and apparently still get surprised by how fast it growth is) and that they will soon be moving to a new, more scalable solution.

Erm, that's normal. Deals are per daily basis. Most of the games have lower prices just for 1 day. The thing with some games is that they change the price within the very same day deal.

I seen a couple of games during this sale listed at 2 different prices at the same time. Portal 2 looks so good, but I hate to spend even 25 right now :(.

Yeah, Risen changed prices, it was 75% off on the front page, 66% off at the game page, and 50% off at the checkout. They changed it to 66% off. Today Dawn of War II Retribution was 75% off, but they changed it to 50%. Kind of stupid.

    Last day!

This is the last day of the sale everybody!

I'm considering Borderlands at £7.50, as it's got a pretty good rating and I remember it had many positive reviews at the time.

    About Risen

Watch out it has activation limits. Not sure if you can reverse your activation after uninstalling.

I really don't like this price changing. I wonder why it is happening.
