Its nice Friday and my morning is about working at my PC. No crazy loads, only office, emails and sometimes take a look to the forums

. Im going to lunch and I came back, my PC is frozed and in Coretemp I see temps 78 C! Wtf?
So hard restart, everything is OK and around 5 minutes " boooom", I shocked a lot, my tube at Swiftech H220 explozed :-D. The hole is not big, but watter flows out, I must shutdownd PSU...

There is hole, crack...I think one reason were temps at CPUNB and I think, there was some issues with pump in block...

So, back to pure aircooling

OPs condition is completely abnormal. Never had a tube split on me in my 8-9 years of water cooling.

I like WC if you have a lot of disposable income and can run a risk. However hardware is so fast now the software hasn't even caught up yet so unless you are a 1337 OC Shaolin master, air cooling is perfectly fine and safe.

Not judging people who WC. Wish I could. But, I know its not the old days when it was necessary.

I was thinking that, weak spot in the tubing from manufacturing, or maybe that Gskill memory fan had something to do with it. Not really sure, but highly unusual.
Still I would get in contact with Swiftech, or just buy some tubing and refill the lost coolant and be done with it.

Might have been old tubing to begin with. That stuff dry rots if it sits to long.

Not even sure that would be the issue. I cant see that a couple of years might do that. I mean we all buy from a huge bulk roll at any of the shops.
I mean yes it can happen, but maybe after 5 years or more imho.
