Ahh I see what you mean, there is no topic for audio. It would make sense.. Really difficult to post in a forum about audio, when there's nowhere to post about audio..lol.

You have no idea how long I have wanted this!

Name should be something like "Audio Hardware" or "Audiophile Corner". Make Fredrick S. a mod and that should cover it!

I have no idea what it should be called. Maybe just keep it simple - Audio / Video. I can mod it if needed, although sometimes I am preoccupied with school and reviews.

Question is whether we need to include video in it in order to get enough traffic on that sub-forum.
I think it is beneficial to gather both video and audio related gear so that it does not clutter General Hardware.

Video gear as in non-graphics card video? What about TV tuners and stuff? Or you are just going to include tv, monitor screens? I think the Graphics card should be expanded to relate everything to do with "seeing", while audio settles everything "hearing".

creating a sub section called "other" in graphics cards for televisions and monitors sounds worse than "general".

audio and video compliment each other.

Yep, keep it simple.. We have mobos and cooling for mobos and cooling.. Audio for audio make perfect sense.. Doesn't matter what the audio is related to, or if it's some sub topic. If you have an audio related question, you put it in the Audio topic.

I like the Home Theater / Audio Video that creates a clear separation between A/V related stuff and PC based stuff

Well we could take a cue from newegg, go with Input/Output devices. I agree multimedia isn't an appealing word.

I was thinking something more "creative"

The Audio Asylum or The Audio and Video Asylum

Because it has multiple meanings. It is a place to seek refuge for questions on those topics or it is a place for audio and video nuts who should be locked up in a listening and viewing room never to be heard of again. What do you think? :toast:
