I have just purchased and installed a Sukam 800VA inverter. I live in Uganda and so there are frequent power outages and voltage problems.
I have fitted a Surge Plug but I want to know if this inverter also needs a Sollatek VoltGuard (or similar) to protect it?

Looking at the technical sheet for this inverter it seems that it already has equivalent or better surge protection already built in.

It is difficult to say for sure without testing that exact equipment, but it does not appear to be needed.

I think he wants to protect his inverter from electrical surges/disturbances...?
