Company of Heroes is Act of War with a WW2 mod. Its good/great (only played demo), but cant touch the scale of SupCom. Hardcore RTS players such as myself will remember the greatness that was Total Annihilation, and the same guy is behind SupCom.

Oh, Act of War was good too. Really overlooked, its what C&C Generals should have been.

    Oh most definitely!

Online play is a little buggy yet, but that could also have to do with some people trying to play on 512mb of ram and P4 2.0ghz chips... Probably using crap wireless or dialup...

But ya single player, network, games with people who have systems that can keep up, its great.

meh... im not impressed, ive tried demo and found the game too slow paced and too complex. ill wait for C&C 3 which comes out next month.

on that note there should be a demo for C&C 3 sometime soon. ill definitely give it a try asap

I was thinking of buying this game... but I'm afraid that I'll just be disappointed with it, just like I was with Warcraft3.

Too bad a new Starcraft won't be coming out for a while :|

Heh if they ever make it........

    Whats the matter with warcraft3?

Unless you are not really really good at micro management?

@ Niko: No, it's not that... I just dislike the idea of heroes and stuff (during real games, not custom maps). I would have liked to see Starcraft with the WC3 engine though... that demo was pretty cool :D

    Aww okay I follow that.

The main ACU is a little interesting to get used to, but you don't really require them as much as you do in warcraft3... Although ranked games online are based on acu kill....

this is one of the best RTS games in a long time for me. it does come with its share of micromanagement and complexity which is a good thing for many people.

biggest problem: hardware requirements .. single core dont bother
