Any tips for bleeding air out of a swiftech h220x? I replaced the hoses so i could run the rad up in front of my 760t and I'm having a hell of a time getting the air out. My system doesn't have the bleeder screw in the window.

Assuming the reservoir is at the bottom of the radiator, turn the chassis upside down for a bit while it runs, you should be able to trap the air in the res much easier.

I have it set up with the reservoir facing upward. Here's a pic.

I'm new to water cooling this is my first attempt at it.

Put the cap back on and lay the chassis on its back panel, where the cables connect to the rear I/O. This will get the res higher than the CPU block and allow it to catch the air as it passes.

Any idea how long I should leave it like that?

OK, I've drained the loop again. Going to try to refill and bleed in a few minutes. Hopefully I'll get it right this time. With some tips and tricks from you guys and some emailed instructions from swiftech, I'm feeling much more confident.

Got it up and running! Took a good 45 minutes to bleed, but it was worth it.

I've finally had some time to sit down to run some benchmarks and really push the CPU. Moving my rad to the front of my case has dropped my temps by 10°c! Full load I'm only at 60° c on my hottest core. That's with the pump and fans below 50%.

4690k 4.7ghz @ 1.29v

Now my only problem is I want to tear it all apart and do a full custom loop!

i think the front is the best place.. the case air is cooler there.. rads up at the top if exhausting are working where the case air is at its hottest.. the difference in cpu temps is down to the difference in intake air temps..

in a perfect world all coolers would pull in room ambient air and blow it back out into the room without warming the case.. it never really happens this way though.. :)

i suppose a custom loop with the rads and fans outside the case would maybe work this way..
