for some reason nothing had changed and my pc keep restarting,it mostly happens when i drag a video over to my tv.and then after the restart it will some time not even post or crash even when i am in bios. i have taken away any overclocks i have and it still seems to be happening, as my graphics card is the oldest part of my machine im thinking it might be that, is there anyway i can test it in windows 7 to confirm my theory?

Probably a PSU problem, possibly a memory problem.

    Check your RAM with memtest.

    A couple...

Most likely a cooling problem due to dust buildup.
    PSU dying also possible.

It's good to run some stress tests and test each area separately.
I use HotCpuTester for testing CPU or memory.
    Memtest if good for memory.
    Furmark to test GPU.

    Cheers

Obviously you can definitely rule out software problems

try reinstalling your video drivers if it still happens then swap your ram around to see if it help
