Tabs and bookmarks large after installing latest version of Chrome

As the title says, tabs and bookmarks are too large after installing the latest version of chrome, very annoying, I'm using the text zoom function now but now the text on websites are small and blurry.

How to fix this?
I did not make a restore point before installing the new version

Edit: The "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" did not work.

I did an older system restore but Chrome would then not work at all, restored back again to after installed the latest version and now still having the large browser tabs and large bookmarks. I always have my DPI set on 124% everything worked all fine before.

I had to set facebook on 75% zoom to get the text size as before but now it's all blurry, also the flash games on facebook are all "low" quality even at set at 100% zoom.
It sucks, I'm not happy.

Have set 100% DPI on my 1080p screen now, now chrome is looking fine, but I don't like the small desktop icons and small taskbar now
I hope someone has a fix for this so that I get set the DPI back on 124% as before.

Chrome 37 changed to use Cleartype technology on the fonts on Windows based system. Its certainly due to that.

Well I hope they get a lot of complaints then so that they will make it as it was before, because this sucks.

Also I was able to find some sites with older versions of chrome, but in the end it still installed the latest version!

The flash games I play on facebook look really ugly now when I have set the DPI on 124%, they look low quality. So now I'm forced to use DPI 100% now!

Found a solution for this:

Temporary solution is to add startup params:

Go to Chrome shortcut -> properties and add: -high-dpi-support=1 -force-device-scale-factor=1

I'm using Chrome 32 Bit now, if I choose to install the Chrome 64 Bit version will it uninstall the Chrome 32 Bit version?
Or will I end up with 2 Chrome shortcuts, one for 32 Bit and one for 64 Bit?

I'm in the same boat as you, I updated yesterday and it was a huge shock. I reverted back to an older version of Chrome from a few weeks ago, but now I'm scared to update. I really hope there is a permanent fix to this.

I'll try out that thing you posted if/when my current Chrome forces me to update to 37.

I was unable to revert to an older version, also tried downloading older version but still it installed the latest. Anyway I have found a fix and it works fine now.
