i bought a 2600xt to tide me over till the new ati cards come. i got it today, but i think i'm gonna send it back. i just ordered a 8800gt, read so much good things about it plus i sold a airrifle of mine on another forum and got $350 bux kicking around in my paypal.

i figured what the heck. if i send the 2600xt back. i'm sure i'll be able to sell a 8800gt easier than the 2600 when i do get a r670.

altho with the economy like it is, i may not have the money later to upgrade.

i got the vanilla evga model with overnight shipping. the rest of my components show up tomorrow to get the new rig up. maybe i'll get the 8800 tomorrow, but i bet it dont come till friday. either way its dual core city for me this weekend.

best part is tomorrow is my bday. happy bday to me

Happy B day man. I think it's a good decision, the 8800gt will have better resale.

2600xt is a nice card for the $$ but the 8800GT is so much better, and the price on it right now really can't be beaten..

Hell yeah overnight... especially if you have all your other parts sitting there...

So your going from a p4 to dual core 8800 horsepower.... lol.. You will be dumbfounded!!! :)

Good choice on the 8800 too, just send that 2600 back unless you wanna make a media pc with your old p4 parts and sell the X1950 instead?? ( or is agp ) :(

BTW what are you doing with all your old parts??

Happy bday for tomorrow too m8...

The only time I spring for overnight is when I sell something I don't have a backup for. I get the new part the next day, then ship off my used part ;)
