It doesnt happen all the time, but sometimes alot of the time when i am ingame, the game will just freeze up.(and the sound somtimes repeats itself). Sometimes a big chunk of the corner of my screen losses picture(turns black with a little white, almost like when a TV gets no picture, that kind of mix of black and white). Then after i wait about a minute or two sometimes it will crash back to desktop and sometimes i have to turn the computer off from the PSU and reboot. This is making me sad. :shadedshu

Have you tried reinstalling drivers? I had the problem on XP x64. Also make sure no program is running that uses a lot of resources because the source engine is touchy..

I just reinstalled the drivers. Hope all works well.
