Incorporated with the latest generation of UHS-1 transmission technology, Team Group Inc. Micro SDHC UHS-1/Micro SDXC UHS-1 is a high-performance memory card designed specifically for smart phones, tablet computers, and driving recorders. Reading speeds up to 40MB/s and IOPS 500 for reading and 150 for writing surpass products of the same class in the market by three-fold. This is more than enough to satisfy real-time communication apps and the boot-loading demands of smart phones. The substantial reduction of booting and access time make this model perfect for businessmen and serious gamers, thus enriching the fun experience of 3C life.

I was asking myself the same question. Thanksfully, it seems the SDXC readers are backwards compatible to SDHC, look though these:

I am not sure myself, but searching for the keywords SD and 3C brought me to an LLC called SD-3C. SD-3C is apparently a licensing company for SD card manufacturing formed by 3 companies Panasonic Corporation, SanDisk Corporation and Toshiba Corporation. To my understanding all companies who wish to manufacture SD cards must obtain a license through SD-3C.

It can depend. 99% of Android phones with MicroSD slots claim only SDHC (32GB) support, though a lot of them work with 64GB SDXC cards fine. I assume many independent readers are the same, there can't be that many controllers.
