could use some help in that department
1 leave vantage on default settings for test ?
2 what settings on ati card that work well in the test example (ai on off)
3 using 925mb in memeroy for windows 7 what to shut down that help

i just hoping to gain some tips that you all willing to share i have looked at other oc forms but tpu is the place for me i like the way you all roll

No, I meant to write it the way I did...

3dmark06 uses the graphics power of the nvidia card when calculating I believe its the final cpu scores, which is exactly why a 9800GT stock can compete with my 4850 in 3dmark06 and not touch it in vantage.

Are you trying to get 20k in Vantage or 3DMark06.

If you ran 3DMark06 right now you would get +20k. For Vantage you wont break 20k unless you get another 4870x2 or you get LN2 (liquid nitrogen) and OC your CPU to 6.0Ghz.

I still think you're mistaken.

Vantage with Physix, will run the part of the CPU test off the GPU and will blow the scores way out of proportion. Nvidia essentially bough Vantage by getting Futuremark to use Physix.

3DMark06 will only run CPU tests off CPUs and will not favor one GPU over another.
