For some reason when I first open the sensor tab with my 470 the core temp starts rising from 35c gradually up to 42c. If I close it and open it again I can catch it midway through dropping back down. I don't understand as I have it set to be at full clock speed all the time and the sensor tab shows 0% gpu load. 470/258.96/0.4.5

what speed does it say they are running? do the clocks show that the card is still downclocking while these temperature changes are taking effect?

Still downclocking? As far as I know it never downclocks because I have it set to prefer performance. When I do set it on adaptive my idle temp is lower, 29c.
