Thank you, TPU, for never doing something as stupid as hijacking Newegg links and redirecting them to Amazon and/or sending them through tkqlhce.com like HardForum does. It's nice to know that while some sites cater to companies, TPU cares about its users. Obviously there's more I like about TPU over other sites; this was just the thing that was on my mind.

Just noticed I've been a member here for six years this month.

I hear ya Maban! I hate that about the hard forums myself. They have some frigging thorn up their butt about NewEgg for some reason.

Is it weird that I'm on TPU 3-4 times a day, every day, but I don't go to HardForum but maybe once every 3-4 months? Hmm, I wonder why that is?

It's because NewEgg won't give HardForum DEM COMMISSIONS.

At least HardForum isn't using Huddler Tech for their forums and serving up ads laced with referral codes in the links on every thread (unlike some other places which I will not name).

If you're against this sort of thing, you can use the CODE tag to keep the link in plain text. That should keep any site code from embedding any referral codes. People will have to copy-paste what you typed rather than click on what the site links that text to.

    EXAMPLE:
    Code:
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0042U7XLS
Regardless, TPU does have a much better community.

Interesting that this thread gets attention two months later.

It probably wasnt seen especially if their was a bug happening in the forum thread at the time. I am also guilty of being late but grats on the 6 years Maban. glad your with us. and im glad TPU hasnt changed much that is to say it has and it hasn't. I think their are the same number of ads now as their was back in 05.
