Spank the monkey.
Gran Turismo. If I had never played this game I know I would be a different person today. It was MY game, a game I could not live without. When GT5 comes out I may have to buy a PS3 just to play it. LOL
- Wheel Of Fortune/Family Feud on an unknown PC using Dosshell (this was my first computer, without these games and that specific computer I may not have had much of a computer addiction or a love for gaming)
- Super Mario brothers and Duck Hunt on NES, need I say more?
I have lots of great memories on the PS1 and SNES too, games I spent too much time on as I was growing up but just can't remember them and couldn't bear to think what it would be like if they were never made.
Lightning, buy a PS3 for GT5. Its gonna be so wicked. Unlike you though i was only introduced to the GT series a couple of years ago. I saw GT3 aspec for like $15 and my buddy said the series was good. I should of gotten Gt4 then instead of getting it like 3 weeks later .
My child hood game, probably ocarina of time.
Unreal Tournament (original 1999 PC edition) hands down.
It's slick DX7 graphics still look good today* and the fast, twitchy gameplay still has it all. It's got so many nice touches with such things as the sound effects, weapon functionality and so on. Basically, it's bloody awesome!
UT2004 added some nice enhancements, but wasn't a complete replacement in my book.
UT3? Hmmm... the game engine is a technical masterpiece and it has technically brilliant graphics, but I don't like the level artwork, the avatar designs or the sound effects that much. It still retains the gameplay dynamics though. Overall, it's not a game I was able to come back to at all. A big disappointment. Will there be a UT4 I wonder?
*There's something about that DX7 look that's missing with today's more realistic graphics. I think they had a sort of super-slick "computer generated" look to them. It's hard to define, but it's there and it's fantastic.
Wing Commander and Kings Quest
I still play to this day.
Oldest game I enjoy.
And ive gotten abnormally good at the game. r
Hence you user name I take it?

Chrono Trigger, hands down. I still play it on emulator ever year for fun. And i still have both SNES and PS1 copies.
Why, that should be obvious as most current gen RPG's copied something from it.
Honorable mention to Super Mario RPG
Anyone know where to get retro games legally? I would like to get Xmen:COTA and Marvel Superheros for the PC.
id like to see a modern day version of river city ransom
I would like to see Chrono Break taken off the "Indefinite suspension" list instead of Generic Fantasy XIV or XV or whatever the hell they are on now.
Fallout and Fallout 2.

Check this out!!!!
MailMan, gog.com (Good Old Games) has a fair number of old games that are being updated regulary. Buy the game for like next to nothing, then download and install.
For me it would be Decent and Transport Tycoon. Play both of them to this day.
I already looked for Xmen:COTA on GoG.com. They have no fighting games.
