I find the absence of an EVGA card among those submitted cards for review telling ... but what exactly is it telling ?

EVGA 970 SC - Faulty design had 1/3 of the heat sink missing GPU
EVGA 1060 - 1080 DC & FTW - Faulty design was missing thermal pads whic led to pyrotechnics, recall and parts replacement kits
EVGAs submissions on the 2xxx series were disappointments performance wise, largely due to use of the non "A" GPU versions not intended for overclocking.... 2080 Ti (7th out of 8 cards tested by TPU), 2080 (not tested), 2070 (6th out of 6, performance < FE card)

"A" was reserved for FE cards initially.
Otherwise, yes, EVGA was my go-to solution for years. But when I looked into a 2060, I just had to look elsewhere. Ended up not buying at all, but that's another story.

Just got UPS shipping notification. Coming in next Wednesday. So far the purchasing experience with EVGA has been top notch for the 3090 launch. Unlike newegg or best buyi can actually get stock and have order go through in the same day. Gonna review the card one received.

Also the 2080Ti is getting AIO treatment and going to a new home. ;)

Didn't know that somebody filmed this lol

The guy at 2:06 looks like he's already sweating enough, and doesn't need the additional 350W from RTX 3090. The sheen on his face, you could ray-trace that.
