Yes you can. I use only distilled water. No additives at all. It performs better than anything else.

All this arguing is moot however because of this:

WORD! i use deionized water brand "robby rob", and never had problems with algae,or stuff

Oh, I did want to add, do not mix aluminum and copper in your loop. It will cause corrosion, even with additives. Additives just slow the process, not eliminate it.

And cars with aluminum rads also suffer from this corrosion. That's why cooling systems need to be flushed periodically.

Agreed. Swiftech stuff has good bang for the buck. The EK just happens to eek it out this time.

enzo sapphire outperformed my ek supreme LT and is less restrictive. It does even better with hotter procs - in an i7 roundup it came in just behind the HK's

also buy the enzo barbs from the egg as well, theyre so much cheaper lol.

No you don't. That's only if you plan to never tear down the loop. I have no problem doing a flush every now and again. Not to mention, we tend to change hardware a lot. Although, my current loop has been together for over 6 months, with no signs of algae or degradation of performance. 6 months is a long time for me.

i used the same water nearly a year, with minimal addition of the water that was lost due to evaporation thru the hoses.

if you only run water alone, in a sealed loop, there will be very minimal change to the coolant overtime
