the cool and quite do not works

    hi all

    the machine is:

    amd 4000+ san diego

    asrock 939 dual vsta

    hd3650

    vistax64

    cool n quite do not works.

    i go in energy options but i cant see any option related to the cpu

    (i mean the speed of the cpu in percentage, like i expect to see)

    obiouvsly cnq in bios settings is enabled



    someone can help me?

    Check if your BIOS version is 1.3, and if not update it from this page. From what I'm able to get from the internetz it seems that the default settings after reseting the BIOS are set to "low performance", you might wanna check other options in you BIOS and correct them. Sorry if I can't be more helpfull.

    i updated the bios log time ago, i am sure is the 1.30.
    there isn't any option called low performance or similar in the bios.

    What I meant with low performance is, for example, in the BIOS there is an option for Hyper Transport and reseting the bios would turns it off by default even if the processor support it (this is an example, I'm not sure if your bios does that). So my advice is get to the bios and run across every single item in there (all of the bios options) and if the item (every item) supports the option "Auto" select this option (Auto), unless you know for sure what setting to select.
