The Egg's oops!

So a buddy of mine ordered a 1x8 stick of ram off the egg and put in his address and waited. We find out today that they sent it to the WRONG STATE. They fixed their issue and are sending him a new one but honestly. How does one mess up shipping that badly?

I think this was Newegg, but it's been a while and I can't remember. Someone accidentally dropped a really nice boxcutter in to my box and shipped it out. It held multiple blades and you could rotate the end cap to switch to a new blade when the current one got too dull. It ended up jamming, but I couldn't beat the price.

Mistakes happen, most of that stuff is automated though so I would wonder if your friend entered their address in incorrectly or something happened during submission. Those mail management systems are known to bug out on occasion, but it's pretty damn rare anymore.

Mind if you divulge which state he lives in vs. which it was shipped to?

Pretty silly mistake if you ask me! I've always had excellent experiences with the 'Egg. Thought I don't use them nearly as much as I used to. Glad they took care of your buddy.

wrong state by name or zip code, maybe someone who put it by copy paste or he just didnt put it carefully or do double check
but nice if they send the new package to the right address

Many parts over the years. I can't even remember any mistakes. They make mistakes on prices now and then. I had a part stolen off my portch. Newegg replaced it in two days. UPS played the bill
