Just as an example, If everyone were to believe the makers of Crysis that pirating is so terrible and effecting the whole PC game industry because of digital downloading, why are companies like Valve, Blizzard, Stardock, and more laughing it up at them stating they are having their best times on sales!

Lets not see it as ZOMG makers of Crysis said it so its true, but since other people are succeeding, that they are obviously doing it wrong.

yep, basic economics, if i cost less, more people buy it.

Games arent too bad, $50 for a computer game is better than $60 for an XBOX360/PS3 game. Im talking about photoshop for $700, copy protection that prevents me from playing the game I BOUGHT, which has happened with HL2, Bioshock, etc...

No offense, but this rules are just common sense in my opinion. If this Bill doesn't pass GAMERS THAT BUY games will have lower rights then the ones that use the pirated versions, as we do now and did in the past.

They want us to buy there products yet they treat us with disrespect. That's the software industry for you, the place where the customer is never right, or don't care if is right or not. To be on topic let's take games for example:

-they release unfinished games which crash or freeze the system (there's to many examples, if I make a list this post might flood this forum).
-the support sucks big time, even on their official forums (Example: Epic: UT3 - gamers have to find the solutions no support from the officials)
-we have to support there add aware if we want to play there games online (Valve is the best example for that)
-we have to support those stupid copy protections which are useless since all games get cracked with or without them.
-sometimes the Demo of the games on Medium settings work better then the Full Version on Low settings so they trick us in to buying a game which could be useless for some.
-you have to use the DVD-ROM unit at all time and the DVD's might get scratched and become useless in time (cracked versions don't need that).

Don't we deserve satisfaction as paying customers?

11 FTW! I swear I am sick and tired of seeing "Nividia. The way it was meant to be played". BF2 was a prime example. The shadows on an Nvidia card looked great but any ATI card superior or not the shadows looked like crap. To this day I run a 4850 and the shadows are still blocky!

Wow, most of the newer games out there now are mini trogans anyway, especially MS live games. There was a time when most of this was in effect by default, but time itself has messed that all up.

With MS Live! you can make a offline account so you do not need to be online to play. Well you can in GTA 4 and as for Fallout 3 you don't even need to touch Live! in that.


Another rule should be that Gamestop should bring back EBGames as it's much better than there Gamestop for PC gamers.

If a shop will not refund i tend to stay and complain loud enough that the whole shop hears as to me it's decrimination. Shops do not typically tell you that you cannot returned so you should have every right too.

yup, shops should have no right to refuse a refund unless they can prove you are still in possession of their property (have copied the game).
I think it's still the case in the UK where you can return the game for a full refund if it is faulty (i.e. will not work on your system)

If this were a petition I would sign it. However it wouldn't be effective because studios are all over the world, not in just one country.
