Identical to the thermaltake water2.0 performer I reviewed. I will read the reviews on this cooler as well.

This is priced on par with the H80i/H100i, I was hoping for less. I currently have an H80 myself, and it is the first product that convinced me that AIO products are worthwhile.

Edit: I was mistaken, the NZXT X40 is a 140mm, giving it an edge over the 120mm Corsair H80.

They are both AIO watercooling systems though the rads are 20mm larger and it looks like the hose might be longer, though I am not sure.

They are both AIO's, yes, but hardly identical.
    We have 140mm platform
    Hue Lighting
    Control software

    I think that's a pretty good start. :)

I am not saying they perform identical but they LOOK to use the SAME moldings, hose, mounting, and exc. I would like to see reviews here soon of these products side by side. :)

Well, they are both based on the Asatek platform, hence why the mounting and cap look similar.

Assuming all elements and variables to be the same, the NZXT with the RAD should come ahead. I might grab the x60 in my next build, and will post my results.

The restults with my H80 on a pII 945 3.6GHZ are 23c idle, 37c load, fan on highest speed of the three settings.

The H80 has a 38mm thick rad and two fans. Does the X40 provide better temps with its 27mm thick rad and single fan? If it doesn't and it's the same price (which it isn't since Corsair does so many rebates), then there's a problem.

Don't you read? it changes colors.

On a serious note, I look forward to some reviews.

EDIT: Just noticed it only comes with one fan. This isn't too much of an issue being that another fan can usually be had for . . . free.

That is an inconvenience that NZXT should probably look into.

The X40 comes with one fan, yes. The X60 comes with two.

    I would seriously hope so.

I am interested to see if the thinner but wider rad is going to make a difference. Do you know if any review samples have been sent out?

Wait a minute.. Is that a 140mm rad? I think mine is like 120..
And I just couldn't wait to get my cooler, this always happens to me :banghead:

Would have been a good (cool?) addition if that guy would sell that NZXT case for a lower price..

I've been pondering pulling the trigger on this as soon as I saw the announcement for preorders on the facebook page...but I'll wait for reviews.

The Kraken wins in every test it looks like. It turns out the thinner and wider RAD was a better deal overall.

Not quite enough for me to want to switch from my H80, but for any more purchasers it would be great.

The price is the final frontier here.

    ontopic:

Its funny because this is really an Antec 620/920 underneath despite having different mounting kit and NZXT Logo.

Nope not that I am aware of. Although NZXT stuff just sort of shows up. Still waiting on a replacement t40 actually.
