I feel like the guy who made the Serious HD retexture could have done a little better on the road textures with the stones and such.

Need a quick hint on the Dark Brotherhood, please just answer yes or no, don't spoil it for me. :)

So it's the first time I'm playing the DB quests, now I've arrived at the point where somebody asked me to...

    kill the Emperor of Tamriel!

Which my goody goody (yet thiefy) character is finding a bit outrageous.

Is it possible to continue the DB quests without actually doing what I was asked for in spoiler tag? Like would there be some way were I could continue the DB quests but play them differently?

Or do I have no choice?

I think you have no choice if you want to continue, you do have some choices in the quest itself but you asked to not to spoil since it's not even directly relevant :)
    Black Panther says thanks.

Using SkyUI for beta 1.4 (and its minor update), just need to update SKSE for the exact version.
    psyko12 says thanks.

thats all im usin (SKSE that is in line with 1.4.20) with the recent SkyUI. Ever since oblivion, fallout 3 and NV, script extenders are regularly updated almost immediately after the patch launches.

Btw, whats with the Alodia avatar lol

the minor update was from 1.4.15.0 to 1.4.20.0 in which you already have. Not sure if SkyUI has any recent updates (but my Nexus Mod manager seems to be not showing any update).

Semit OT: you a white knight of alodia? lol

How annoying, the game is clearly monitoring your progress and tries to thwart any quick leveling up of any path, or at least archery, ie, each time I tried to get training from the companions, the cost not only escalated, but always made sure the next bill was more than I had.

Eee, training always gets more expensive with each skill point... From the day game was released. I see no problem with that.

I've only noticed this with archery at the companions, and every time, the last point{that I can buy} is always a few bob more than what I have left, and unless I'm mistaken, I went back and sold more stuff, and the price had gone up....so the game is deliberately trying to slow your progress on all paths via training, or maybe just archery.

Didnt saw that when i tried it on patch 1.3.10, using the archery training companion exploit (you train from your companion, then take the money from his inventory back).

That ones fun. Especially when you get over 50 and skills start getting expensive.

If you are going to use an exploit anyway, why not just give yourself a bit more gold using the console command? ;)

Any1 using archery@100 with all the perks?
Im using a legendary daedra bow (without enchantments), with "+archery" anchanted helmet bracelets ring and necklace, doing 1808 damage using potions, I think it can be improved a little more.

    daedric bow = 732
    potion +147%
    (732*1.47=1076)
    732+1076=1808

Wow I have a Legendary Daedric bow made with Smithing at 100 but it only does like 88 or something pre-enchantment. Must be my Archery skill which iirc is still in the 60s (just thinking last night I need to find a trainer). That's a potion of archery skill or what?

And, yeah, training always goes up in price and always has as you progress. There really shouldn't be any complaints about it not letting you get too powerful. I mean look at the above video. :)

Because the former's an exploit, and the latter's a cheat. :p

Imagine a thief in real life, if I pay you and take back the money without you realizing it's one thing, but if I manage to get thousands of dollars materializing out of thin air without opening an undercover printing press.. it's different.

Yesterday was the first time I had tears welling up in my eyes while playing the game.
    The DB quests are epic.

*warning - spoiler is massive, don't read if you haven't finished DB quests!*

    It happened when I saw
Astrid's charred body, and she explained how she wanted to sacrifice me so that Commander Maro and his troops let the DB alone. Maro had done to her exactly what she did to me. But all she did was all for the survival of her 'family'. And when I saw that she had done the black sacrament on herself so that she gets killed and I take command instead of her....

I also got very mad, I said a string of four lettered words, loudly, to
Cicero. When the DB mainquest is over, he came forth saying he was going to attack me. Then he burst out laughing in the silliest manner saying something about it being a joke
    :slap:

Was there any time where you got emotional in this game?

"Emotional" may be too strong of a term but the first time I heard an elk shriek after I put an arrow through it I felt pretty bad. Despite it not being real and all. What can I say; I love animals. I don't know how some people hunt for sport/entertainment.

I understand what you are saying, BP, but having a companion "willingly" give you your money back (by removing it from their inventory) after training is not a whole lot different than a cheat.

Now if you are a good theif and pilfer the money back from a non-companion trainer that takes skill and is a "valid" way of doing it without a cheat or exploit.

I got lydia killed, then got uthgerd as a companion. I accidently got involved in a thalmor battle with 5-6 thalmor mages. I hid behind uthgerd and picked of the thalmor while she took all the damage; then she died. So then I got Jenassa. I took her to the blades and shes a blade now, but after a while she wandered off and now she wont follow mw anymore. I dont know what the deal is. So now I'm getting a companion companion.

Also, has anybody had a problem with SkyUI? I am patched to 1.3, didn't try 1.4 yet. SkyUI after I installed it said that it was not compatable with current SKSE or something, and promptly I couldn't sell anything to anyone. The dialogue was right but inventory wouldn't open up. So I uninstalled it, no change. Uninstalled all mods, no change. I had to delete my data folder and replace it to fix the problem. I keep finding mods that dont work and then I have to delete my data folder. This is the third mod thats caused a problem like this.
