just for laughs a friend found this a few minutes ago
Turns your Shouts into Bill Mays Sayings
Damn, getting an issue with the CK when it loads data.
When initializing I get some Navmesh error.
That makes the most sense to me, I find it odd that people complain about game developers not finishing their work, and yet do the same thing themselves....of course, bugs can also pop up, but the general principle still applies.
Btw, do you tink you saw a puddy tat?
Hmm, I really like the new texture DLC. Works fine and beautiful
Oh I drool over the hi res pack but it will render my game unplayable.
Does the Bethseda pack actually hit game performance? I piled on so many texture packs to my game it was mind boggling, and it didn't seem any of them ever effected fps, even with so many going at the sametime. I would really be shocked if the official one hit fps as well.
I think there's a difference between 5 - 10 fps from playing vanilla. I don't know though because it's very long since I played vanilla. My fps now are a bit better apparently than they were using Skyrim HD and texture packs for clothes, armor, etc etc..
but as noted above, you can load this, and run your other mods (and more to come for sure, and it catches all the textures not already improved
There ain't no "U" either
How do I download this high resolution texture pack? Does it come with the Creation Kit in the tools section of Steam?
It's right on Steam, go to the Skyrim Store page, you will see the texture pack there.
Creation Kit is fun (and almost identical to the Oblivion and Morrowind construction sets).
Darn interior pieces don't want to snap together correctly. lol
Looks like something else to while away many hours by fiddling around.
How cool would it be if someone made a mod with all the legendary weapons from World of Warcraft?
Sorry for the long wait was busy with stuff and internet was super slow!
But now I bring you the comparison shots(even though there is probably lots out.)
I'm undecided some stuff is better some isn't.
Corrected, other wise how you said it not at all..
Now, now...though I tend to agree with your assessment.
I never tried creation kits.. not even the Oblivion one.
(I never really read about how to use them... and there being so many gifted modders around I think I could never create anything worth the time! )
Since the release of the Textures DLC, I've decided to do away with all my previous mods - I had like 12 - 15 texture mods. Perhaps only keep Killer Keos skimpy clothing (which is a mesh mod) and perfectly decent for playing in front of family. My only gripe is that though this mod keeps all the naughty bits covered at all times, it doesn't work as intended while on horseback
Looks very natural though. A skimpy skirt is bound to ride down while galloping no?
Perhaps it was intended due to the fashion of low-rise pants?
Back on topic, the mod I'm intent on keeping is the FXAA Post Process Injector.
-Because you can adjust game contrast and sharpness. And even color saturation, using sliders so you choose your preferred combination.
-Because if you want to go back to vanilla, you just press the "pause" key on your keyboard (yes it's just that simple) and you bypass the mod altogether.
-Because it has no fps hits at all.
Skyrim: the main reason why I won't upgrade CPU, RAM and mobo for now
I see talk of a massive sword (bigger than a character) above from I think Demon Souls. Yet more MMO hate, WoW had some great weapons that were for more proportionate than that sword above. I wouldn't mind seen Ashkandi or Zin'rohk, seems just MMO hate from people who haven't probably played the games or seen the weapons.
Beyond that, I DL'd the high res pack last night, might tinker some with the CK as well. I don't plan to play Skyrim quite yet, I think a month or two of waiting time yet will be best, give people who really know what they are doing with the CK to make some amazing things. Then I will return, but I'll be keeping my eye out till then for great mods.
I could see it as the reason not to upgrade Videocard the most, but E8400, yes being a dual core and thats all Skyrim uses is fine. But something like an i7 if you tinker with shadows will make a large difference. Granted if you don't, then I'm sure the e8400 would work great.
large weapons and mmos dont really correlate, yes they have them but i digress The Dragon Bone Smasher is mostly shits and giggles, the absurd weapon if you will, The Chinese 2 Handed Dao on the other hand is an authentic weapon, Ill be added a few more interesting weapons based on historical designs later, I honestly just want to dual wake a Dragon with a Giant blunt sword for laughs.
currently looking at
Spiked Mace simple but deadly
A Flamberge would be great
So if you install hires you need to reinstall the hd nexus pack to get your ground back? Or if I already have the mods installed this will only overwrite the crappier textures?
Its really easy to use the CS kit, i did it in morrowind, but mostly i did caves, buildings were tough, but i was maybe 11yo at the time
How time flies.
Any volunteers to pick up....
