So I havn't been keeping up with star citizen much. I just read the last 3 pages, as they were unread.

I do have some questions though:
When did the hanger module get moved to?
Can someone give me a brief summery of what is going on with star citizen?
Erocker, in what way do you troll the RSI forums?

If you're talking about dogfighting module they say a couple months. It's on the front page of the website.

Brief summary... Well.. um.. The game is getting made, that's about all I know

There are quite a bit of whiners, complainers and the entitled on the RSI forums. Not so much trolling as engaging in a conversation with these kinds of people.

So months but no set date anymore?
I guess I could go look at the website for a brief summary. So difficult gosh.

I think late 2014 for the full blown beta and sometime in 2015 for full release. That's one thing they're missing is a summary of information.

I knew that. I am really looking forward to just the dogfighting module. I really want to try flying my little aurora and get a feel for what some gameplay might be like. Might determine if I will be interested in a joystick or not, etc.

Same here. I plan on using my Xbox 360 controller for now. I have a feeling that a whole bunch of new flightsticks and such are going to be coming out in the next year or so.

    Friday!
We have a livestream today, which I won't be able to watch so you guys better fill me in :p
Also, CR mentioned we would get "surprises" in our hangar today... Can't wait to see what they cooked up. I hope we get the weapons testing rig and some more stunt ramps for the Grey Cat :D

EDIT: spoke too soon. Hangar Patch 10 is live.
The Cutlass is finally in, the Avenger has been updated, the weapons test range is in, and we all have been awarded 1000 UEC as they added some new things to the Voyager Direct store.

I'm going through all of the hangar files to export them into CryEngine editor. It takes a while... At least I don't have to spend money to see the Cutlass. :D

**Found the asteroid hangar in there!

    Pics or it didn't happen.:p
They did say that the business hangar the Cutlass comes with is only temporary and you'll get an asteroid hangar with it instead.

@Random Murderer, when the game is actually playable I will be looking to you for your thoughts on the cutlass. I am thinking of working my way towards that... possibly.

They look like gray untextured boring stuff right now. I can't seem to get the Cutlass to work as it's giving me errors with a texture I can't seem to find in the editor.... Blah!

Cutlass is going to be a cool ship. It will pack a punch and maneuver like nothing else. I just have a feeling it's going to be a glass cannon. I totally should of gotten one when they still had LTI. :/

For sure. Hell, you guys can even crew with me on it to get your own impressions. It's going to be my dedicated piracy ship, with the support of at least one of my other ships.
Speaking of other ships, E, could you add my Aurora LN and Aegis Avenger to the list?:D I'm up to seven ships now. I plan on earning the rest in-game, though I must admit the Freelancer is tempting to buy, lol.

Piracy sounds fun honestly. The question is how easy it will be to be profitable, and if being profitable will be determined by your skill as a pirate. Trader/miner etc sounds dull although good for getting me a new ship.

When accompanied by a Hornet or two, quite easy I'd imagine.
And obviously characters/crafts aren't going to just serve one purpose. Just because my Cutlass' main duty will be piracy doesn't mean I won't use it for salvage or exploration as well...

Anyone else having issues with not being able to shoot any guns in the firing range?

Also e can you update my ship is the Aurora LX not Ln :) I just keep upgrading it.

Hows everyones FPS? I'm getting 45-55 in basic hanger with just my one ship on High settings, the AA looks great.

Of course not. Piracy/exploration sounds good. Who is going to start the captains log?

Are you sure? The LN is a higher model than the LX.

Is there an AA option in game now?! :)

    Captain's log: Star date December 20, 2944
We're still waiting for the OK from headquarters to launch. Every crew member has been briefed and our ships are ready, the only thing left to do is man the crafts when the order is given.
In the meantime, we have been supplied with PTVs, weapons testing ranges, and fish tanks to occupy ourselves. Speaking of which, it's time to go feed Scruffy, my Vindel, and Zoidberg, my Thorshu.
    Captain out.

Yeah I went with the LX, it seemed more for long term trips and exploring, I'm not into shooting stuff.

No, AA option but, on High settings the AA quality looks really good. I was running on 4850's so I had to have it on low quality.

I haven't had the hanger installed since I won the game from Erocker awhile back. What is this weapons testing range thingimabobber? Is it worthwhile to reinstall the hanger yet?

You can basically take a gun off of your Aurora, put it on the test firing thingamazoo and fire it at some cardboard targets. Nothing very spectacular. When I'm done eating I can stream a bit of the hangar and show the firing thingy, the cutlass, new avenger and I'll leave it at the fish tank. :D
