I will say they have the most hostile/angry forum members.

edit: for clarification, when I've googled stuff and ended up on RSI's forum pages, half the posts are "DEATH TO THE INTERLOPER" if anyone questions anything about the game design lol

The forums are awful. Full of "go-hards" and people who act like children.

In the grand scheme of things, these people make up a small minority of the people who have backed. Most of the time, some a$$hat makes a disgruntled, off the wall thread and all of the replies are people disagreeing with them. I don't generally even look at General Chat unless I want some entertainment. If I want to have a real discussion that isn't poo'd on by crazy internet folk, I go to the subscriber den or Reddit. Reddit is especially nice with their upvote/downvote system.

Yea, I was poking around in General Chat today and you are right it's entertaining. On another note I think it would be great if they just let us look around in space with out DFM until it's ready. My youngest daughter is in an out of my lap wanting me to play.. it's hard to type.. lol

I hope you guys enjoy your $200 ships in a few years when this game gets released.

Well I just finished playing around in the hanger using my Oculus Rift.... and it's amazing! It really puts the ship in perspective.

One would assume you didn't back then? And if you have no intention of playing the game, or bringing something positive in the thread, then I don't understand why you came in here to post a funny gif?
All comes down to eye of the beholder my friend, it isn't our place to decide how people spend their hard earned cash.

If you don't like the game or the people who backed it, don't come in the thread and get yourself worked up ;) Seems odd for someone to actively go into a thread specifically labelled as something they don't like, almost as if you have an agenda.

Hey, a towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitch hiker can have. Thanks :)

At any rate, that was a pretty impressive push at the end for the Alpha slots, eh?

I don't see how I am trolling. Do you keep up with the Star Citizen news?

Yes, I do and my warning wasn't just for that post. Your last few posts are all negative posts. If you are keeping up with Star Citizen news as well then you know that it's to help support the game "first" and they are giving you stuff as well. People seem to forget that 42 million dollars isn't a lot of money for a game of this size.

***RED ALERT*** Everyone! CALM DOWN! Apparently space sims turn people into hooligans! Case and point = RSI forums... and now here. :p Seriously though, let's not argue. No one can hear your screams when I throw you out of an airlock. There are no trolls in space, no more using that dirty word here, or I'll get angry and do something abusive.

I'm in no hurry. I pledged to get the game made, not the ships... Hell, I'll probably end up giving a few of my ships away since I can't fly them all at once. I don't mind if they take their time and do it right.

In other (space sim..ish) related news Freeworlds was just released for Freelancer! I'm getting all over this! Thanks to MTAlex for the heads up! Link to mod: http://www.desura.com/mods/fwtow

*Played a bit of Freeworlds... Needs some work yet.

It's damn good quality, isn't it? I got mine a few weeks ago and was really surprised at the quality and attention to detail.

Dogfighting looks really awesome. Those graphics mmmm! This was going to have oculus support? I may have to get one just for this game.

It already has it baked in for the hangar module, I'd suspect that the DFM will have it too.

Thanks for that. I only watched the live PAX stream and while it was neat, I was really not happy with the crowd/crashes.

Awesome stuff after that 23 min mark in that video. Can't wait to see the DFM and ultimately, the planetside stuff and boarding. That is what is really drawing a lot of interest from me.

I just fired up Wing Commander Saga again this weekend :D
