Popping in this thread to see what's going on. Haven't been paying attention so figured I would catch up. Read the last two pages and mostly just chatter. Can I get a simple 1-3 sentence summary on how the game is progressing? Lots of new ships that look interesting I see.

Wow another 4K update:

I have butter smooth frame rates in 3840X2160 with my hornet in free flight.
This is on Broken moon.
I mean absolutely smooth. It looks and runs amazing.
On ONE gtx 980 GPU?! I can't wait til sli works.
Multiplayer and persistent universe, is a whole other animal.
I'm fairly certain it can do it though.

Yeah, I agree, and optimizations will come (currently it's trying to load every high-rez texture on a map [hangar] at once) but this game is still going to want all the vram it can get! :D

Note your hangars will be empty until you go to the website my hangar section, click the configure button under your currently selected hangar type and put the ships you want back in the hangar - you can control the groups of ships and where they go in the hangar which is nice.

    • Accounts can only have a maximum of 2 ammo boxes of each type, which causes the account to not have enough ammunition if a ship is trying to equip more than 2 of the same gun
    • Unable to create custom profiles (currently changes are saved to the existing profiles, which are reset if you re-select the “default” profile)
    • Individual keybindings cannot be set as blank. This means if a player sets a control on accident, it can’t be unbound without resetting the whole profile
    • Unable to fully mix/match custom keybinds across multiple devices
    • Swapping from one controller profile to another will reset any changes the player has made
    • There is no visual feedback for what kinds of inputs are accepted for controls that only accept specific kinds of input
    • Unable to change power-priority of 350R in power management screen

    • Fuel can be consumed when no additional thrust is being generated
    • Idris’s that spawn in hangar are currently invisible and have no collision
    • The M50’s portside wing has misplaced elements
    • The starboard side of the M50’s spoiler has an inverted decal
    • The Constellation Phoenix has collision issues in its rear engine room
    • There can sometimes be a brief pause when a player joins a match or respawns
    • Matchmaker may not account for Track Variant when searching for Murray Cup races via Spectrum Match

With the size of the patch (just under 2GB) I wonder if they've snuck in the Mustang AMD as that's meant to be in the hangars any day now...

My guess would be yes, September 30 was the day you were supposedly able to access and use them.
I'm glad SLI/CFX is working again, now to find some time to race!

Will do as soon as it works but here's another small update on the performance.
Vanduul swarm mode is exactly as butter smooth as free flight.
That is still on one gpu.
99.9% sure, this game will be absolutely playable in the persistent universe, with one if not two, 9 series gpu's.

Good eye! They've been shopped a little with some lighting tweaks, added a bit of color saturation, blur tool to get rid of jaggies in some places and the sharpen tool in other places.

So, the new patch claims to have SLI/CrossFire support, you try it yet?

There's a bug with the 350R at the moment where the shields aren't protecting it properly - shot from directly above or below they are completely bypassed and shot from front/behind doesn't seem to be getting much protection at all.

Cutlass variants just got patched in (450MB patch - patch notes are lacking content until Citizen Con is over). Looks like 2 new variants (red and blue are the two names) and a new paint job for the base cutlass.

Good eye! They've been shopped a little with some lighting tweaks, added a bit of color saturation, blur tool to get rid of jaggies in some places and the sharpen tool in other places.

So, the new patch claims to have SLI/CrossFire support, you try it yet?

Oh yea I tried it and man. It is amazing. Runs just perfect.
Even the horribly optimized Connie in the hangar runs good with sli on.
Without it, I was getting idk, 10-20 fps on the Connie.
No more artifacting at all.

But arena commander MP ran perfect on one card, in Vanduul swarm.
Minus those odd, texture loading lag spikes that have always been present for me, when the enemies load in.

325A's now been added to AC. Same engine as the 300i trainer and the custom targeting computer isn't in yet but it's a very different beast to flying my hornet. In the hornet when I'm going against the Vanduul I'll start firing as soon as my crosshair's close to the lead markers and get a couple of hits in that do small amounts of damage. With the 325A the mass driver and Ominsky IV's fire really slowly, but when they hit they hit hard. If you get all 3 guns to hit then you'll either be detaching a wing or blowing huge chunks of the ship off. Need to be very precise in aiming but the damage payoff is worth it. Shields are no concern for the 325A - enemy ships may as well be wrapped in bubble wrap for all the good their shields do against the might of the mass driver and Ominsky IVs.
