    On the pavement lol

Oh yes, and (now this is really embarrassing:eek:) I did literally dive into a dumpster once, in one of those large things we call them skip, like an enormous rubbish bin which is moved by crane. It didn't contain household rubbish but a bank was renovating and throwing away old stuff like shelves etc. I fished out 2 heavy duty OKI dot matrix printers from there. Still churning out 100+ invoices daily at my work! :)

The $600 I found on the sideof the on ramp in ~ 1992 was definitely $600. I figured it fell out of the back pocket of some WSU student on a motorcycle.

Some fellows tearing down one of Detroit's old and large lumber baron/railroad tycoon/mining magnate mansions once found over $100,000 in a wall of the mansion. That also occurred back in he 1970's if I remember correctly.

People have found bags of what is apparently illegal drug sales money every now and then and here and there.

A numbers betting gambling ring - family operated for decades - was finally busted by the local authotities and several million (the figure $5 or $9 million is sticking in my head) were found stacked in may boxes in the house. I saw it on the TV news and several vans had to be used to cart the money away. This bust made quite the local splash.

At an estate sale in the area a person purchased what was thought to be a faux diamond ring but the diamond turned out to be real. It was worth between $10,000 to $30,000, I forget. The original appraisers for the estate sale made a big error.

I've found a couple of Lottery tickets and had them checked and recieved a few $ from them. People drop and lose and throw out a lot of valuables.

The armored car story is also true, and there have been many occurrences in Detroit and some are legitimate mistakes and others were 'inside jobs'.

It's a mad, mad and crazy and odd world.

All I find on the side of roads is dead animal carcases (cats, possums, skunks, raccoons) and liter. Certainly nothing to stop and get out for. :(

He might have bad vision and just be missing somethings.

As for roadkill etc., I live in Detroit and we have possums, racoons, large white-tailed deer, 10 -100-pound snapping turtles, Peregrine falcons, hawks, owls, an occasional gold or bald eagle passing through every now and then, Great Blue Herons, Green Herons etc., an occasional white Egret up from the south, Canada Geese, Coyotes, various ducks, loons, Kingfishers, and some crazy people all within the city limits, or outer limits in some cases concerning some people. :twitch:

But I know what you mean.:laugh::laugh:

My old couch and my favorite chair were both found on the side of the road. I've found old stereo equipment, TVs, and various pieces of useful furniture over the years.

Did someone find, recover, recycle and/or reuse you?? Then and only then would this reverse find be qualified.

Please submit proof, such as an SKU bar code, receipt, etc. of your reuse, recyclance, etc. for review. :wtf:

I find them in the street in front of my home and my neighbors' homes sometimes, and they are not ours, and in the parking lot where I work etc. Some people are disgusting, uncouth, unsanitary pigs/slobs/etc.

I'd like to see someone arrested and in court for littering with a used condom, or tampex/kotex etc. I wonder if any health code violations would also be brought against them??

    Years ago....

A friend came by on his motorcycle and said we had some laptops to pick up.

I wound up with 2 color 14' screen dells - pentium 75's if I recall correctly - reinstalled and they went on ebay.

A month ago a friend's Dad dropped off a Dell mid/full tower with a 1.6 P4 and so much rdram (for installation/repair) - something he found someone tossed in his travels.

I could name 20 other systems people have brought by that they claimed they dove for.

Of note was a Sony small tower - the light purplish colored ones (forget their nomenclature now) - so I yank it apart in front of them - and the motherboard tray / case are BENT - and I mean BENT - the motherboard still secured had a 2 inch rise in the middle from the massive bend end to end....(I think someone got PISSED - and kicked in the side :nutkick: )

Yes, you guessed it - SPRIONGGG !!!! :rockout: - kept all my screwdriver fingers when she snapped loose - a few mins of hammer peening - LOL - and fired she up...:p -
Off they went with their new baby.
