    |Summary in the topic|

There is an computer store here in Joplin, Mo. that has been around for ages, and because of this they have some software that has been sitting here, untouched.

Hopefully during my lunch, I will be able to snap a picture. The issue here is that these are still retail priced, between $25 and $60, though the store might be able to bring down the price from their original value, I will ask them.

After I post a picture, I will also list the games. Some of you, like me, might want these for the nostalgia of older games, new in their original packaging. I am willing to ship them to you if you can put $5 on top of the cost for shipping.

I am doing this because I love nostalgia, and also to get a local computer company some sales.

An example of some games I remember seeing is the original warcraft, Starcraft: BW, Hexen, Baldurs gate, etc...

I will update this thread when I have pictures.

I have placed these in links because they are rather large (~800KB per)

I always check bargain bins. Awaiting pics. :p

In the past, most smaller shops had to pay full retail for games, since that's how MicroPlay ran things(they were the sole distributor for games in North America).

They might not be able to lower prices, and still have them on the shelf since they might have 95% of that cost already invested in that individual package.

I found my original Mortal Kombat 3 PC game box! I can't wait to see what they have on their shelves.

If you happen to come across any of the Heroes Chronicles, snag them if they are in big boxes. You can get some money for them, especially the later ones.

Of course. Ill have to check shipping costs, but it shouldn't be too bad.

I think this shop does mostly repairs and builds, and have just not paid any attention to these sitting on the shelves.

Sounds like my book shelf at home. I have a ton of old games in their original packaging. I gave away over 400 games when i got married because my wife wouldn't tolerate them any more. lol

    Very cool of you man.

Americas Funniest Home Videos Game? What do you do? Film people getting kicked in the nuts all day to the voice of Bob Saget?

Hey man, let me know if they can sell you Doom II or Star Wars I for cheap and get back to me on the prices. Luckily I have the original Starcraft Battlechest so that will suffice in place of the original Brood box ;) PM or here is fine.

SW Episode 1 was actually ok imo. Not great but kinda fun. I thought so at the time at least. BTW, HoD and Starship Titanic. <3 I haven't played Titanic but still.

Agreed. I think I was 10 or something when I was playing it, but I loved that game. I used to get so pissed when I would die on certain parts. Great game though!

I am surprised no one has said anything about MDK. I might pick that one up myself.

That game was produced by Dave Perry. Same guy who did Earth Worm Jim. He also did Messiah and Wild 9.

Yeah they were. Not many studios that can claim to change the game like they did. Another company from that time who was awesome was Crystal Dynamics.
