My 3870 runs hot 50c at 25% fan speed. I know I can adjust the fan speed but my question is this: Would it be worth it to re-seat the heatsink with some As5 or MX-2?

If you know what you are doing, yes. I would deffinitely set that fan to 100% though.

Definately worth it. Make sure you clean off all of the old paste with 91% alcohol or AC cleaner, then apply a VERY small amount of MX-2 (it's the best). about 1/2 grain of rice size.

I did a little research but they dont make an aftermarket cooler for the 3870 yet?

I think I know what im doing? Take off heatsink, wipe off old thermal paste, apply new thermal paste, reinstall old heatsink.

If theres more then im screwed :p
