SOLD!
For sale: Thermalright HR-05/IFX chipset cooler (TR product page: http://thermalright.com/products/index.php?act=data&cat_id=8&id=107).
Price: 6--> 4 euro + shipping
Accepted payment methods: bank transfer and Paypal.
Age of the product: +/- 1 year
Warranty (left time): counting from June the 18th, 1 year. Ordered online via Azerty.nl, so for a possible (future) RMA you need to contact me so that I can do the RMA request via my account there. That is the best way I guess (though you could get a PDF with the receipt, in case you wanna do it via TR itself).
Pros:
- looks rather nice
- compatible with 80mm fan, at low rpm you may get an effective yet reasonably silent cooling (forming a middle point between passive chipset heatsinks and mini-fan active sinks, in matters of noise).
Contras:
- (!!!) shows some wear at the bottom (see picture 3 below). Because chipsets don't tend to get hot usually, and because thermal paste will solve the problem by filling the scratches it should not be a big deal. You may try lapping though, if you will else not feel comfortable enough.
- It is not possible to aim the airflow into the direction of the rear exhaust fan.
- It may be hard to combine with big cpu coolers, so measure how much room you've got for the chipset heatsink.
Extra remarks:
- This is my first online sale ever, hence the still empty evaluations list on heatware.
- It does not come with a fan.
- I stand open for trades, but I don't expect any offer that somewhat matches this product in price lol. But if you think you have something to trade for it, let me know.
