This AM3 Cooler a Good Choice ?

    Yes, and the Coolermaster is half the price. The Thermaltake looks to be mostly bling, especially with the odd shape limiting the size and types of fans you could use. I used to use a Xigmatech 963 on my 940 and was very happy with the noise and performance. The 212 blows it away.

    yup, looks mostly bling, but it ain't ... and saying "blows it away" is not accurate either; neither is saying that the fan sizes are limited and with the use of a handy dandy dremel you can easily fit a 140mm fan on this cooler ;)

    Not much of a review. It only shows one decent cooler going against it (the V10), and even that isn't the best.

    I'd still look elsewhere, and spend the extra on something I know works well. My Xigmatek S1283 gets those kind of temps on a QX9650 with a dead silent 1000rpm fan.

    Stick with coolers that allow you to easily swap fans.

    I used one a couple years ago and the stock AMD heatpipe cooler worked better. The mounting tension was flawed with the cooler. It's not discontinued.
