I installed Kayne and Lynch Dead Men as I havent played it in a few years nor have I even beat the game yet. So i installed it, i go to run it and 2 seconds into the game loading, my computer immediately shuts down and powers back on. Im not sure what causes it but I cant play the game because of it. IT doesnt seem to do this with any other game either.

Does anyone have an idea as to why its doing this?

I'm gonna say reinstall graphics drivers and DX as a precaution.

Sounds power supply related somehow. Your PSU should be fine, though.

    tl;dr:
    I don't know.

Don't worry, I'm in a funny mood right now.

ALL IS WELL, FOCUS ON WHY YOUR PC IS GETTING CANED AND LYNCHED AT THE SAME TIME.

Do you have "Automatically restart" on system error disabled? The game ran like crap (crashing all the freaking time and poor framerates too, if memory served) but it never brought the whole computer down.

If you're overclocked, I would highly recommend trying to run it at stock.

Well it looks like toning the overclock back to stock fixed it. Thats weird. Thanks ford!

On another note, I need to get the co-op achievements :D

when i first bought Metro2033, it would randomly shut down and restart the computer - turned out to be the memory oc on my (then) graphics card.

i guess K&L is just one of those sensitive games too.
