The new 7990 is dual slot and if you read and comprehend my post I am saying it is faster when crossfire is supported than a Titan.

Lol, all these replies and the thread starter hasn't chipped in again.

Just means we have all the usual gfx nonsense going beyond the initial OP, which is better: Titan, 690 or 7970?

Shouldn't we shut the thread if he's not giving feedback - it is just becoming another one of those bloody AMD/Nvidia threads.

Do it smell like a deliberate trolling act??? Maybe..

Wich One is better? Mmhhh depend on usage : even a 7950 can be better than those 3 cards...

Wanna blingbling with a disastrous perf/cost ratio go Titan or Asus Ares II double 7970 GHz ed.

Want single card good perf/cost ratio go 680/7970(Ge or not)

Want a good single card double GPU go 690 or 7990(Malta)

120hz though.. so it will still be pretty much utilized in terms of horsepower. He can crank up the AA for the mem utilization.
    cool.dx.rip says thanks.

The Sapphire 7970 Ghz edition is the fastest single GPU out there.

well in fact its the Titan that claim this title :D

buuuttt Titan is a overrated naming (nothing impressive for the price asked, really) roughly 25% more perf for 2.4x the price its not what we can call a good improvement.

indeed the price is titanesque, the consumption is good but the perf/price ratio is off the chart... juste like a Asus Ares II Double 7970 Ghz Ed. oh wait ... no its a bit better than the Titan for the perf/price ratio ... 50% faster (1440p) for 40% more in the price :rockout:

in fact if i had the money for a Titan i would get a 7970 Ghz Ed. (or 2) i dont hate Nvidia but their price is nowhere what they shall be, are they worth to be that price? imo : no.

I think Titan is a success, lives up to its name and not only on performance:

Just look at all the rambling about price/perf it brings up on every thread.

Well... If she where named Titanic it could have more sense... Nahhhh im joking ;) its a great card for a 685 ;)

Thus you cant deny the price/perf ratio being screwed with that card :D

I wont deny it, for sure, it has one of the worst pperf in GPUs history.

Still it is the best and it comes at a price, everybody knows it and especially nvidia knows it.

Not the best, since its very situational.

For instance for me it was a 7950 @250$ who was the best ;)

Its the most powerfull single GPU card (a lil' step above 7970GE) indeed, but not the best ( rule n° 1 : there Its no generic best.

OK lets end this now :)
